FRICTION celebrates the new year tomorrow night with a night of shimmering guitars, ethereal loops, stereo reverb, and banjo feedback featuring New York City’s O’Death, Mahogany, and Daylight’s For The Birds along with Philadelphia’s Relay.

Word on the street is that in addition to their live show, Mahogany will also have their visual show in tow provided by klip collective. Following the show (since we’re feeling extra festive this month), we’ll be hosting a FRICTION AFTERPARTY next door at Sin-e Bar where David Bruno will treat us to a new wavey DJ set. We figured we’d already be hype and sweaty after rocking out to O’Death, so we might as well keep the party going somewhere close. Mr. Bruno will have us bouncing around like the folks in the “Neo-Plastic Boogie-Woogie” video below. Additionally, there will be $3 shots and $6 shot and Pabst drink specials at the afterparty. This following the open Sparks! bar from 9:30pm-10:30pm. Yikes!
