How hot/cute looking is this twee princess? I wouldn’t kick her out of bed for eating hard-shelled crab!

I’ve been checking out El Perro Del Mar (in tribute to the salty sea dog) who released her self titled out on Memphis Industries. The Swede with the peculiar name, Sarah Assbring’s sound can be described as old timey, 60′s lo-fi twee pop. Her sound reminds me of Dusty Springfield’s ‘Dusty in Memphis’ (of course she doesn’t have Springfield’s voice, no one does). More of the feel. Fans of Françoise Hardy, Gentle Waves, Isobell Campbell, Jens Lekman and Antony and the Johnsons will like this all in one package. Perfect music for a stroll on a Sunday afternoon.
